Yuta Setogawa

Yuta Setogawa is a Tokyo-based fashion designer and educator, known for blending emotional depth with functional design. In 2021, he became the first Japanese recipient of the Sustainability Award at the prestigious INTERNATIONAL LAB MITTELMODA in Italy.

Building on this international recognition, he launched his genderless, wearable collection under the label YUTASETOGAWA in Spring/Summer 2023.
His approach emphasizes sustainable practices, including the creative reuse of textile offcuts, while maintaining a refined, contemporary aesthetic.

Setogawa has worked on wardrobe design for Netflix films and music artists, while also contributing to fashion education. He has served as a guest lecturer at Central Saint Martins in London and currently teaches design part-time at ESMOD TOKYO (since 2024).

東京を拠点に活動するファッションデザイナー/エデュケーター。

2021年、イタリアの国際ファッションコンペティション INTERNATIONAL LAB MITTELMODA において、日本人初となるSustainability Award を受賞。

この国際的な評価を機に、2023年春夏シーズンよりジェンダーレスかつウェアラブルなブランドとして、
「YUTASETOGAWA」を本格展開。

製作工程で生まれる端切れや廃材を再活用するなど、感情と機能美、サステナブルな視点の融合を軸としたデザインアプローチを続けている。

Netflix映画やアーティストの衣装を多数手がけるほか、教育分野でも精力的に活動しており、Central Saint Martins（ロンドン）でのゲスト講師を経て、2024年よりESMOD TOKYOにてデザインの非常勤講師を務めている。
